Now three issuances deep, James Boyle’s Index imprint has emerged as the iconic Drum & Bass producer’s preferred outlet for releasing music in recent months.

Having gained notoriety at the onset of the new millennium with a string of critically acclaimed records pressed on universally lauded D&B institution Reinforced Records, the young prodigious studiosmith — who would adopt the music making pseudonym Breakage — would amass an unrivaled catalog of music in the years since.

One of six original productions featured on the gargantuan At the Controls EP, luminous Liquid tinged Jungle roller “Spread Out” is four minutes of audio indulgence for the soul.  Opening with atmospheric synths and infectious vocal tones,  “Spread Out” proceeds to roll out in a Jungle stylee incorporating various percussive elements, dubby echo effects, and choice sound bytes.  Add a warm full-bodied bassline and the end result is nothing short of sonic bliss.
